Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to eight people, to typically have four wheels, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods.[1] However, the term is far from precise.

State Senate OKs bill allowing local cops to tow cars for sale The state Senate brought a bill that would crack down on used car sales along El Camino Real one step closer to reality Monday. Sponsored by Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, SB279 was passed by the Senate 30-5. The bill would give local police departments and sheriffs' offices the same authority granted to the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans to tow away used cars for sale on state roads such as El Camino Real and 19th Avenue in San Francisco.
While Nissan has been clear that it would not use M&M's sales and distribution network for selling the Nissan cars (unlike group company Renault), it seems open to partnering other local companies. After the flip-flop over partnering Suzuki for its Indian car dreams (before agreeing to the three-way partnership), Nissan now says it could launch the export model that Maruti Suzuki would be manufacturing for it from next year in the domestic market as well.

Environment minister hints at ban on new cars A moratorium on the sale of new cars in Indonesia was threatened Wednesday by State Minister for the Environment Rachmat Witoelar, as part of a national program to start reducing air pollution in the country's ever-growing urban areas.
